Admittedly, I love them all \u2014 Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe and Joey \u2014 despite their sometimes-obvious faults, but I happened upon a thread criticizing Jennifer Aniston\u2019s character, and I have to admit some good points were made.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Every <em>Friends<\/em> fan has their favorite and least-favorite characters. There are people who think Matt LeBlanc\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/32-funny-things-joey-said-123453674.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Joey is too obsessed with food;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Joey is too obsessed with food<\/a> or that Lisa Kudrow\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/32-hilariously-off-beat-phoebe-113409347.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Phoebe is unrealistically off-beat;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Phoebe is unrealistically off-beat<\/a>. Many agree that David Schwimmer\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemablend.com\/television\/2488249\/friends-reasons-why-ross-is-the-worst\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Ross is simply the worst;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Ross is simply the worst<\/a>. For one fan on <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/unpopularopinion\/comments\/160rvd7\/rachel_from_friends_is_a_pretty_awful_person_who\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Reddit;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Reddit<\/a>, however, Rachel Green is the biggest offender, as they began a thread titled \u201cRachel from <em>Friends<\/em> is a pretty awful person who just got away with things because she was pretty,\u201d and wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"mb-4 border-l-2 pl-5 italic text-tertiary\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Seriously, she is just the worst. They make this whole deal about her growing so much as a person but she never stops being awful. That thing with Ross? She wanted the break and she literally had another guy come over to her apartment 5 minutes after. As in, the same guy Ross was upset about is just there, and she gets to bitch, \u2018Oh he slept with another woman,\u2019 and she never once admits it?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">I\u2019m sorry, I was unaware that Will Colbert (co-founder of the \u201cI Hate Rachel Green\u201d Club) was on Reddit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It\u2019s a fair point, though. While Rachel does show more emotional maturity than her sisters Jill and Amy (<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/love-many-iconic-guest-stars-010400308.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:portrayed excellently by Reese Witherspoon and Christina Applegate;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">portrayed excellently by Reese Witherspoon and Christina Applegate<\/a>), there\u2019s no questioning the character\u2019s privilege and spoiled tendencies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Even Jennifer Aniston has admitted <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/ive-rewatching-friends-talk-completely-100300011.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Ross and Rachel were on a break;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Ross and Rachel were on a break<\/a> during the <em>Friends: The Reunion<\/em> special, and it was pretty bad form to let Mark come to her place after he was the central figure of her and Ross\u2019 argument. The fan continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"mb-4 border-l-2 pl-5 italic text-tertiary\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The whole breaking Ross up from Julie, a GOOD person who was more compatible with him? Same thing. And Bonnie? Ok so maybe it was just a rebound, but what right did Rachel have to keep interfering? She is just an awfully entitled creature who got away with everything for her looks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">I\u2019ve always thought that Rachel convincing Bonnie (Christine Taylor) to shave her head was one of the character\u2019s more diabolical moves (though I also blame Ross for being so repulsed by his girlfriend just wanting to live her best bald life). And yes, breaking up Ross and Julie was awful, because they were happy (they got a cat!), and Lauren Tom\u2019s character was nothing but an angel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Rachel was known to get in the way of pretty much every one of Ross\u2019 other relationships, whether she was calling the baby store saleswoman a \u201chorny bitch\u201d for flirting with Ross or straight up flying across the globe to try to stop him from marrying Emily.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Phoebe even called her out for the baby store slut-shaming, exclaiming, \u201cOh my God! A woman flirting with a single man? We MUST alert the church elders,\u201d and others on Reddit sided with <em>House<\/em> star Hugh Laurie when he guest-starred as a passenger on Rachel\u2019s flight to London. AgeofVictoriaPodcast wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"mb-4 border-l-2 pl-5 italic text-tertiary\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Yeah and it was great when she sat next to House on the plane and he tore her a new one over her evil plans to interfere with Ross\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Even for the most loyal Rachel fans, it\u2019s hard to think back on how she behaved in several situations of one of the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemablend.com\/television\/100-best-tv-sitcoms-of-all-time-ranked\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:best sitcoms of all time;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">best sitcoms of all time<\/a> and not admit that she sometimes acted like an awful person.
