Packed into the two full-length Christmas episodes of Bluey<\/em> are life lessons<\/a> you as a parent hope penetrate the mind of your toddler. Why, exactly, we should be nice to each other is explored in the episode \u201cVerandah Santa.\u201d And, as \u201cChristmas Swim\u201d shows, the messiness of our families is sometimes what makes them so lovable.<\/p>\n With episodes this subtly meaningful, there should be a soundtrack to go along with them. After all, the holiday never seems quite as complete without some festive tunes<\/a> to sing and dance along to with your family. Enter the all new Bluey<\/em> Christmas album. It will be released later this fall, and to get into the holiday spirit we can already listen to the first single.<\/p>\n The first Bluey<\/em> Christmas song kids and parents can listen to together is called \u201cVerandah Santa.\u201d The track was inspired by the episode\u2019s original theme, and it\u2019s the first of four Bluey<\/em>-themed holiday songs that will be released on November 7, 2025.<\/p>\n The composer behind the now-iconic Bluey <\/em>theme, Joff Bush, also composed the songs on the holiday album, and the Camerata-Queensland\u2019s Chamber Orchestra is featured on some of the tracks. In a press release, Bush shares that the tracks are \u201ca truly great representation of an Australian Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe wanted to have a fun take on Tchaikovsky\u2019s Christmas classic, \u2019The Nutcracker\u2019 (one of our favorite pieces) because a fun Christmas needs fun music! We also wanted a \u201850s Disney-esque sound like some of our favorite Christmas records,\u201d the Bluey<\/em> music team adds in the same press release.<\/p>\n The album also features songs called \u201cI Don\u2019t Have Chimney,\u201d and a Christmas version of the \u201cBluey Theme Tune.\u201d<\/p>\n The fourth song on the album is called \u201cLet\u2019s Play Verandah Santa,\u201d another song inspired by the episode \u201cVerandah Santa.\u201d Bosh says the song \u201cwas created using [the] score from the original episode to make sure when you listen to this track you can feel like you\u2019re back in the episode and playing along with Bluey and her family.\u201d<\/p>\n Although it\u2019s not even Halloween yet, I can already feel the spirit of Christmas right around the corner, and frankly I am ready for it.
