Nicole Mazullo, the first boot <\/a>of \u201cSurvivor\u201d<\/a> Season 49, exclusively told The Post that she \u201cdidn\u2019t get along\u201d with tribemate Jake Latimer as she weighed in on whether or not her vote-off was \u201cpersonal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I think it felt personal,\u201d the financial crime consultant said. \u201cYou know, I don\u2019t believe that any vote out is personal, right? Because it\u2019s a game.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was a discussion during tribal that we had a lot \u2014 it didn\u2019t make the episode \u2014 but is this a personal vote or is it not? I think there were some sort of rifflings between Jake and I where we just didn\u2019t get along,\u201d Mazullo continued. \u201cAnd Jake had a lot of social capital in this game, and he along with a lot of folks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo yeah, it might have it might have been a little personal,\u201d Mazullo added, \u201cbut everything\u2019s a little personal.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the premiere episode, Latimer hid one of Mazullo\u2019s shoes and called himself the \u201cShoe Bandit\u201d privately to the cameras, which Mazullo found out about after her elimination. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo I knew that someone on the island was throwing around my shoes. I\u2019m just like, that\u2019s cringy, honestly. That\u2019s a little cringy but whatever,\u201d Mazullo said. \u201cBecause it reminds me of Russell Hantz<\/a>. Just let Russell have that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I found out after. Someone had called me and gave me the heads up that that might be in the episode, which I was very grateful to that person,\u201d the Philly native explained. \u201cAnd then when it aired in the episode, I honestly was just like, that\u2019s cringy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mazullo also admitted that she didn\u2019t expect to be the outcast on her six-person tribe.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m the type of person that I can get along with anyone. Like, truly, I know I can get along with anyone. I\u2019ve never had a difficulty making friends or being in friend groups or anything like that,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd so I was like, \u2018Okay, this is going to be great. I\u2019m gonna work with Annie, I\u2019m gonna work with J [Jeremiah].\u2019 I felt like anyone was an opportunity to connect. And then it just didn\u2019t translate when we got out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo it was kind of hard to break into that group. It was a little bit difficult,\u201d Mazullo added. \u201cBut when I was first looking at my tribe, I thought we were going to be strong. Honestly, I thought we were going to be a really good tribe. I was not expecting to lose the first challenges at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
