That, however, didn\u2019t stop college student Cole Smith from shooting his shot at the 32-year-old star.<\/p>\n
Smith recently posted a TikTok video,<\/a> where he told followers he watched Palmer on \u201cHot Ones,\u201d and noticed that she and host Sean Evans had some flirty banter going on.<\/p>\n At one point, Evans, 39, even locked lips with the actress<\/a> after she confronted him about a 2023 interview in which he admitted to having a crush on her.<\/p>\n Smith was shocked to find out the \u201cTrue Jackson, VP\u201d alum was single, and immediately decided to enter the conversation.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m throwing my hat in the ring,\u201d he explained in the video. \u201cI thought you were married this entire time.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSure, Sean Evans is a great guy, but wouldn\u2019t you rather be with a college student that forgot to shave this morning? I mean look at that scruff,\u201d the college student continued.<\/p>\n As for what else Smith brings to the table, he teased that he has Nutri-Grain bars he can offer her. He noted that despite being 11 years younger than her, age is just a number to him. <\/p>\n \u201cDid you know that Sean Evans doesn\u2019t even buy those wings himself?\u201d quipped Smith. \u201cLike his team does that. If you\u2019re thinking, \u2018Oh my gosh, Sean Evans has all these wings.\u2019 No, he didn\u2019t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n The TikToker also isn\u2019t fazed by Palmer\u2019s celebrity status, as he was a background actor on \u201cLaw & Order\u201d himself during Season 24.<\/p>\n \u201cJust let me know, I have, like, Skype,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n Fans flocked to the comments section to praise the young man for putting himself out there.<\/p>\n \u201cHe called her \u2018Ms. Keke Palmer.\u2019 That\u2019s respect,\u201d one user wrote while a second chimed in, \u201cA polite and respectful offer\ud83e\udd23.\u201d<\/p>\n And it turns out that Smith\u2019s message reached Palmer.<\/p>\n \u201cHow you doing young man?\u201d Palmer began in her own TikTok video<\/a> response. \u201cI heard all the nice things you said about me, and you\u2019re so bold for doing so. I was kinda gagged when I found out I was 11 years older than you. That means when you were born, I was already winning spelling bees. That means, when you were learning how to talk, I was already jumping rope.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe point is, while I\u2019m open for a little swirl or two\u2026the truth is, I\u2019m not ready to be a cougar, I\u2019m not ready just yet,\u201d she teased. \u201cBut if I was, you\u2019d be the first one I was calling.\u201d<\/p>\n Smith couldn\u2019t believe the \u201cNope\u201d actress replied to him.<\/p>\n \u201cI started freaking out,\u201d he told People<\/a>. \u201cMs. Palmer is a legend for responding. Go see her new movie!\u201d<\/p>\n Palmer, meanwhile, has been single since her split from Darius Jackson<\/a> in 2023. The pair started d<\/a>ating in 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n A year later, the \u201cBarbershop 2\u201d star gushed over making their relationship public.<\/p>\n \u201cI just think [this] was a moment in time in my life where I really stepped into this kind of boss behavior [of doing] whatever the hell I want to do,\u201d Palmer told Bustle<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the happiest I\u2019ve ever felt with someone. So why would I go out of my way to hide this person? That\u2019s a lot more work than just living in my life and being in my life. You know what I\u2019m saying?\u201d<\/p>\n In December 2022, Palmer announced she and Jackson were expecting their first child<\/a> together while hosting \u201cSaturday Night Live.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI am so excited, guys,\u201d she told the audience, showing off her bare baby bump. \u201cI\u2019m gonna be a mom!\u201d<\/p>\n The two welcomed son Leo, 2, in February 2023, but five months later, Jackson came under fire for\u00a0publicly shaming Palmer for wearing a sheer dress to Usher\u2019s Las Vegas residency.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s the outfit tho.. you a mom,\u201d Jackson responded to video footage of Palmer being serenaded by the \u201cYeah!\u201d performer, 46.\u00a0<\/p>\n He\u00a0defended himself<\/a>\u00a0against the backlash, writing, \u201cWe live in a generation where a man of the family doesn\u2019t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis is my family & my representation,\u201d he added. \u201cI have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.\u201d<\/p>\n The two called it quits in October that year, with Palmer filing for sole custody of Leo in early November. She was later granted temporary sole custody<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Nickelodeon alum also filed a restraining order<\/a> against Jackson, accusing him of abuse throughout their two-year relationship.\u00a0<\/p>\n He denied her allegations. <\/p>\n In June, Palmer revealed why Leo was unable to see Jackson on Father\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n \u201cWe celebrated with my dad,\u201d she told People<\/a>. \u201cHis dad, Darius, is in the military, so he\u2019s not able to be as around, but [he\u2019s] making sure he\u2019s getting what he needs to get and doing good for our son.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
