Viewers are taking a little more time to enjoy \u201cThe View\u201d this season. According to ABC News, the daytime chat show\u2019s Season 29 premiere on Sept. 8 averaged 2.602 million viewers \u2014 its most-watched season premiere in five years (since Sept. 8, 2020).<\/p>\n

The 2025 premiere also improved on last year\u2019s launch (Sept. 3, 2024) by 7% (up from 2.421 million).<\/p>\n

Overall, \u201cThe View\u201d premiere week averaged 2.324 viewers, as well as a 1.51 rating in households. That topped fellow daytime network talkers including NBC\u2019s \u201cToday Third Hour\u201d (1.963 million), \u201cToday With Hoda & Jenna\u201d (1.384 million) and \u201cNBC News Daily\u201d (1.245 million).<\/p>\n

This was the most-watched premiere week of \u201cThe View\u201d in four years \u2013 since the week of Sept. 6, 2021. Meanwhile, in demos, \u201cThe View\u201d averaged 195,000 with women 25-54 and 151,000 in women 18-49. (These ratings are based on Nielsen\u2019s live + same day, big data and panel data.)<\/p>\n

Compared to last year\u2019s premiere week, \u201cThe View\u201d was up 2% in total viewers (2.278 million in 2024), up 12% with women 25-54 (from 174,000) and up 12% with women 18-49 (from 135,000).<\/p>\n

As for the Week of Sept. 15, 2025, \u201cThe View\u201d averaged 2.311 million viewers, also topping \u201cToday Third Hour\u201d (1.823 million viewers), \u201cToday with Hoda & Jenna\u201d (1.303 million viewers) and \u201cNBC News Daily\u201d (1.237 million).<\/p>\n

With women 25-54, \u201cThe View\u201d averaged 196,000 viewers (up 1% from premiere week and also up 1% over last year) and 137,000 women 18-49.<\/p>\n

For the first two weeks of the new season, ABC reports that \u201cThe View\u201d is up 2% with women 25-54 (199,000 vs. 195,000).<\/p>\n

As for social reach, \u201cThe View\u201d has expanded to include the \u201cBehind the Table\u201d daily podcast series (now in its second season) and \u201cThe Weekend View\u201d on ABC News Live. ABC News reports that \u201cThe View\u201d has received more than a billion video views across social handles (including Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and X) over the last 12 months.<\/p>\n
