The Twisters <\/em>actor, 36, was a guest on the Wednesday, September 24, episode of Jake Shane\u2019s<\/strong> Therapuss<\/a><\/em> podcast, where he shared an uncomfortable interaction he had at a Hollywood party that included someone who \u201chad basically been on the ropes in terms of sort of getting cancelled.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis person had made some of my favorite movies, and I was like, \u2018Oh, this is great,’\u201d Powell recalled, being careful not to name the celebrity. \u201cHe came up and he said, \u2018Nice to meet you.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Oh, dude. Such a big fan.’\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the moment got awkward when a photographer asked if he could take a photo of the two men together.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis person was recently cancelled,\u201d Powell explained. \u201cI was a fan of their work, but not a fan of their choices. So, I was kind of just being nice. But then, when they wanted to take a picture \u2026 I realized very quickly. I was like, \u2018Oh, I don\u2019t know if this is a good idea.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Powell noted the person \u201cclearly clocked\u201d that he thought a photo was \u201cnot a good idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Anyone But You<\/em> star ultimately \u201crealized, this guy, his face is toxic,\u201d adding, \u201dgoing out into the world, people are having a visceral reaction to this person in terms of the bad choice they\u2019ve made.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
