Alyssa Milano<\/a> publicly reflected on her decision to undergo explant surgery in a social media post that included a smiling pre-op photo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cToday I\u2019m releasing those false narratives, the parts of me that were never actually parts of me,\u201d the \u201cCharmed\u201d actor began the caption of the image she shared on Instagram<\/a> Wednesday. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI\u2019m letting go of the body that was sexualized, that was abused, that I believed was necessary for me to be attractive; to be loved; to be successful; to be happy,\u201d revealed Milano, who began her acting career as a child. \u201cAnd in doing so, I hope I am releasing my daughter Bella from ever feeling those same unhealthy demands.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n While the star acknowledged how some found \u201cfreedom and beauty\u201d in their implants, she wrote about how her cosmetic surgery fed into a \u201cfalse narrative\u201d she had about herself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI am so happy that we can all find our femininity and peace on our own terms,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Milano also expressed gratitude to pop star and \u201cRuPaul\u2019s Drag Race\u201d judge Michelle Visage for being open about her own decision to remove her implants and \u201cmaking it easier for me and countless others to find our own way.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cToday I am loved, I am feminine, I am attractive, and I am successful. None of that is because of my implants.
