The movie, which is based on a book, was written by the Vogue editor-in-chief\u2019s former assistant, Lauren Weisberger, and doesn\u2019t always show the top boss in the most flattering light.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But in an interview with New York editor David Remnick earlier this month, Wintour shared her surprising take on the 2006 film, which is currently filming a sequel in New York.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI went to the premiere wearing Prada, completely having no idea what the film was going to be about,\u201d Wintour told Remnick on his podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI think that the fashion industry were very sweetly concerned for me about the film \u2015 that it was going to paint me in some kind of difficult light,\u201d she said, adding that she looks at the portrayal as a \u201ccaricature.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI found it highly enjoyable. It was very funny,\u201d Wintour said of the film. \u201cMiuccia [Prada] and I talk about it a lot, and I say to her, \u2018Well, it was really good for you.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The movie \u201chad a lot of humor to it,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cIt had a lot of wit. It had Meryl Streep. I mean, it was Emily Blunt \u2015 they were all amazing,\u201d she said. \u201cIn the end, I thought it was a fair shot.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Last year, Wintour told the BBC<\/a> that it was \u201cfor the audience and for the people I work with to decide if there are any similarities between me and Miranda Priestly,\u201d the character reportedly based on her. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI seem to remember that actually the movie was fiction, and we really like fiction at Vogue,\u201d she quipped.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
