Trump and first lady Melania Trump<\/a> were on the escalator Tuesday for a meeting of the General Assembly when it suddenly stopped, forcing them to walk up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cEverybody\u2019s still talking about President Trump\u2019s trip to the United Nations,\u201d the \u201cTonight Show\u201d host began on Wednesday. \u201cAnd the White House now claims that someone at the U.N. sabotaged the escalator to stop working when Trump got on it. \u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cYep, this is the big issue people want answers to. All day long, Americans were shouting, \u2018Release the escalator files, release the escalator files!\u2019\u201d Fallon cracked.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThe White House is now looking into who would have a grudge against Trump,\u201d the comedian continued. \u201cAnd so far they\u2019ve narrowed it down to 189 countries. The whole thing was a headache for Trump, and even worse: He couldn\u2019t take any Tylenol<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Trump said something \u201csinister\u201d was afoot and demanded an investigation because the teleprompter (which was reportedly operated<\/a> by the White House) and sound system also had glitches.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
