He described \u201cDracula\u201d as one of the defining moments of the band\u2019s forthcoming album. Listen below.<\/p>\n<p>Tame Impala\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/au.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/tame-impala-officially-announce-new-album-deadbeat-83058\/\" target=\"_blank\">announced their new album<\/a>\u00a0earlier this month, confirming it would drop on October 17th via Columbia Records (their first record release on the label).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"op-interactive\"><iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: Dracula\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"400\" height=\"152\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/709ZIqPHyFOpx2QdjmeWAM?si=bc47c75817d34d0f&amp;utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n<p>According to a press release,\u00a0<em>Deadbeat<\/em>\u00a0is \u201ckind of a future primitive rave act,\u201d with Western Australia\u2019s rave scene and bush doof culture noted as inspirations.<\/p>\n<p>The lyrics, however, are said to channel \u201can endless bummer, a self-deprecating fuck-up stuck in a negative feedback loop when he should have long had his shit together\u201d as Parker navigates through domestic life.<\/p>\n<p>Tame Impala recently unveiled the tracklist for the album, featuring \u201cDracula\u201d alongside two previous singles: <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/au.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/tame-impala-drop-new-single-loser-music-video-starring-djo-82999\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cLoser\u201d<\/a>, which arrived alongside a music video starring <em>Stranger Things<\/em> star Joe Keery, comes in at No. 4, while the album ends with lead single \u201cEnd of Summer\u201d.
