Rick Moranis<\/strong> is back! The iconic \u201880s actor is set to reprise his role as Lord Dark Helmet in the upcoming sequel Spaceballs 2.<\/p>\n

Amazon MGM, the studio behind the sequel, confirmed the Little Shop of Horrors actor, 72, will return to the big screen alongside costars Bill Pullman, Mel Brooks, George Wyner<\/strong> and Daphne Zuniga<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Josh Gad, Andrew Carrigan, Keke Palmer<\/strong> and Pullman\u2019s son, Lewis Pullman<\/strong>, will also join the star-studded ensemble.<\/p>\n

Moranis has kept a low profile since stepping away from the spotlight following the 1991 death of his wife, Ann Belsky<\/strong>. He hasn\u2019t starred in a film since 1997\u2019s Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves.<\/p>\n

In the years since, Moranis has stayed active with guest appearances in shows like The Goldbergs and voice acting work. He also made a brief appearance as himself in a 2020 Mint Mobile commercial<\/a> alongside Ryan Reynolds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
