Teyana Taylor<\/a> is earning raves for her turn in Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s One Battle After Another. Her co-star and love interest in the film, Leonardo DiCaprio<\/a>, is also singing her praises.<\/p>\n \u201cI knew she\u2019d be absolutely unpredictable,\u201d DiCaprio told Blavity\u2019s Shadow and Act in a recent interview. \u201cShe\u2019s a fantastic actress. I knew her socially. And we needed somebody to improvise for this character. She needed to come in like a lightning rod. And as soon as I heard that Paul was thinking about Teyana, I was like, \u2018That\u2019s our girl for the job.’\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor\u2019s acting profile has risen in recent years, and she garnered critical acclaim after starring in A.V. Rockwell\u2019s 2023 film A Thousand and One. For that role, she received the Breakthrough Performance honor from the National Board of Review.
