Bella Hadid has been seen in public for the first time since she was rushed to hospital for a flare-up from her Lyme disease<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 28-year-old model stepped out in Paris, France<\/a>, on Wednesday – one week after her mom, Yolanda Hadid, said her daughter was receiving treatment for the condition<\/a>.<\/p>\n Bella has been battling Lyme disease since 2012 and previously opened up about the struggles she faces when it comes to her health. Her latest outing comes after her mom recently called off her engagement<\/a>.<\/p>\n As she stepped out on Wednesday, the model looked chic in a brown trench coat paired with jeans, a blouse and black oval sunglasses.<\/p>\n She pushed her golden brown locks back with a brown headband and completed her look with the Coach Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 In Loved Leather, which retails for $495 online.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “As you will understand watching my Bella struggle in silence, has cut the deepest core of hopelessness inside me,” Yolanda wrote.<\/p>\n “The invisible disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease is hard to explain or understand for anyone.”<\/p>\n Bella contracted the bacterial infection, which can cause fever, headache, fatigue and a skin rash, severely affecting the lives of those who suffer from it, after she was bitten by a tick.<\/p>\n A source told Star magazine<\/a> that Bella is frustrated that some of her pals can’t empathize with her amid her ongoing battle with the disease.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “There are certainly people who have let her down, friends that act like she’s not sick or change the subject when she brings it up,” the insider said. “They don’t understand what she’s going through.”<\/p>\n The source added, “It might look like she’s living this great, so-called \u2018normal\u2019 life, but a lot of the time she’s in agony. She just hides it well.”<\/p>\n But they noted that Bella’s loved ones, including her mom, brother Anwar and sister Gigi Hadid, “have all been so supportive.”<\/p>\n
