Alessia Cara <\/a>had some dates on the books to play shows across Latin America in November, but was forced to cancel them due to a dispute with a promoter.<\/p>\n The Grammy Award-winning singer posted about the situation on her X account <\/a>on Tuesday, explaining the difficulties she faced with her upcoming shows in Argentina and Brazil.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll be honest and say the promoter for the Argentina and Brazil shows simply lost faith and pulled out,\u201d she wrote. \u201cWe tried to reason, tried to scale back on production, and do everything we can to find a solution, but ultimately it came down to not seeing eye to eye and having no choice but to cancel.\u201d<\/p>\n Unfortunately, the loss of the Latin American dates would, in turn, impact her upcoming stops in Mexico. Cara explained she wouldn\u2019t be able to \u201csustain them financially\u201d without completing the Latin America shows first. The singer went on to state she is \u201cfrustrated by the unprofessionalism, mishandling, and lack of communication\u201d and will no longer work with the people responsible.<\/p>\n \u201cThe industry is in a very weird place right now in many ways, so please try to have some grace for artists and their teams doing their best to navigate this new landscape. I understand if you\u2019re upset with me, and I\u2019m so sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n In March, Cara had to postpone<\/a> the U.S. leg of her Love & Hyperbole Tour because of \u201cfactors outside of her control\u201d involving the challenging aspects of touring and making \u201call the moving parts\u201d work together.
