Leonardo DiCaprio <\/strong>has revealed his favorite Christopher Nolan<\/strong> and Steven Spielberg movies. The actor recently discussed his career and influences, among other things, in a new interview while promoting his new film, One Battle After Another.<\/p>\n Leonardo DiCaprio and Benicio del Toro revealed their favorite Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, and Stanley Kubrick films in a conversation with Collider<\/a> while promoting Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s One Battle After Another.<\/p>\n The two actors, known for acclaimed performances in The Revenant, Traffic, and Sicario, feature in the upcoming action drama. DiCaprio plays Bob, a father searching for his daughter Willa (Chase Infiniti), which sets him on a collision course with Del Toro\u2019s character. The film also features Sean Penn, Regina Hall, and Teyana Taylor.<\/p>\n When asked about Steven Spielberg, Del Toro responded, \u201cE.T. for me.\u201d DiCaprio answered, \u201cMaybe Jaws. He\u2019s done so many masterpieces. It\u2019s hard to pick, right? God, yeah, I\u2019d say Jaws.\u201d On Christopher Nolan, both actors chose The Dark Knight.<\/p>\n For Stanley Kubrick, Del Toro immediately said, \u201c2001 [A Space Odyssey].\u201d DiCaprio agreed: \u201cI was going to say the same thing, man.\u201d He elaborated, \u201cDude, come on. Clockwork [Orange], The Shining. I just watched Full Metal Jacket the other day.\u201d Del Toro added, \u201cBarry Lyndon.\u201d DiCaprio continued, \u201cBarry Lyndon\u2019s incredible. There are too many to pick. But 2001, for me, I remember watching it for the first time on VHS, but then I got to see it at the Cinerama Dome. Christopher Nolan found the original film and projected it at the Cinerama Dome with the original sound. Talk about a movie that was so ahead of its time. It\u2019s just incredible. Beyond the movie, it\u2019s kind of a spiritual experience.\u201d<\/p>\n Del Toro later noted, \u201cI watched Spartacus not too long ago.
