Influencer Hannah Brown<\/strong> has spoken out about her decision to attend the public memorial service for conservative political activist Charlie Kirk<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, I\u2019m not MAGA [and] I was not at a MAGA rally. I went to a memorial for Charlie Kirk,\u201d Brown said in a Wednesday, September 24, TikTok<\/a> video. \u201c[Charlie was] a man, who was brutally assassinated in front of thousands of people. [He was] a man, who has a wife and children who will never get to see him again.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cDespite our differing beliefs, [he was] a man who didn\u2019t deserve to die. I don\u2019t agree with a lot of what Charlie believed, [but] do I think that means he should be shot and killed? No, and if you disagree with that, we truly have nothing in common.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kirk, who was 31, was shot and killed earlier this month during a speaking engagement in Utah. The Turning Point USA founder was later mourned in a public memorial in Arizona<\/a> on Sunday, September 21, attended by Charlie\u2019s wife, Erika Kirk<\/strong> (n\u00e9e Frantzve), President Donald Trump<\/strong> and thousands more, including Brown.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDuring the Sunday, September 21, public memorial service for the late Charlie Kirk, his wife, Erika Kirk (n\u00e9e Frantzve) publicly forgave the man allegedly responsible for her husband\u2019s death. \u201cI forgive him because it is what Christ did,\u201d Erika, 36, said during her husband\u2019s service, held at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. \u201cThe [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI was so disturbed last Wednesday when I opened TikTok, and I had to watch the video of him being assassinated,\u201d Brown said in her Wednesday upload. \u201c[I] was even more disturbed when I opened the comments, and all of them were celebrating and rejoicing his death. I did not go to the memorial to align myself with any political views or to make a political statement.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown stressed that she solely chose to attend the service to \u201cpay [her] respects\u201d to Charlie as \u201ca human [who] died.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone attacking me for going to a memorial, really listen to that. A man was murdered,\u201d she said. \u201cWhether or not you believe his political beliefs is truly irrelevant because, truly, if you are against gun violence, you cannot celebrate when someone you don\u2019t like gets shot. You are a hypocrite.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown, known for her viral videos on the service industry, further noted that she didn\u2019t care whether she loses social media followers as a result of her support. (As of publication, Brown has more than 825,000 TikTok followers.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you want to unfollow me, completely fine,\u201d Brown stated. \u201cI would rather have zero followers, then have hundreds of thousands of people who celebrate the death of a man who just wanted to speak<\/a>. But, just know there is nothing you can take from me that matters. That\u2019s really all I have to say about that. Jesus is king.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown also offered her gratitude to \u201canyone who is still supporting\u201d her amid the controversy.<\/p>\n
