Tame Impala<\/a> is back with \u201cDracula,\u201d the latest new song off his forthcoming album\u00a0Deadbeat<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n With a throbbing beat, lush accents, warm harmonies, and buoyant vocal melodies, \u201cDracula\u201d splits the difference between the haze-rave sound of lead single \u201cEnd of Summer\u201d<\/a> and the more melodic psych-pop found in its follow-up, \u201cLoser.\u201d<\/a> Though the iconic vampire Dracula is referenced, the track has more \u201cThriller\u201d-esque pomp instead of doom and gloom; Kevin Parker narrates the culmination of an all-night rager, when daylight is imminent and the connections he\u2019s forged will be tested. \u201cRun from the sunlight, Dracula\u201d he sings in the chorus, desperate to stay in the dark so the party can continue.<\/p>\n Get Tame Impala Tickets Here<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cDracula\u201d also arrives with a music video inspired by the Western Australia rave scene and \u2018bush doof culture,\u2019 which served as a significant reference point for\u00a0Deadbeat<\/em>. Throughout, moonlit partiers dance outside of a portable house that can be moved via a semi truck. Parker walks in and out of the scene with a pep in his step, but he looks slightly resigned.
