Alice Cooper Band<\/a> guitarist Glen Buxton<\/a><\/strong> may have passed away in 1997 at the age of 49, but Buxton\u2019s unique electric guitar sounds are alive and well on Cooper\u2019s 2025 release The Revenge of Alice Cooper, thanks to salvaged outtakes from the band\u2019s studio sessions. Buxton appears on two songs on Cooper\u2019s latest release, and now the band has dropped its first video in support of the record, “See You on the Other Side,” which drummer Neil Smith <\/a><\/strong>wrote as a tribute to the band\u2019s former guitarist.<\/p>\n The band shared the “See You on the Other Side” video with a social media announcement captioned, \u201cVery excited to share with you all the new video for ‘See You on the Other Side’ \u2013 a tribute to the late Glen Buxton. I will see you on the other side. Will rock and roll the night away. Thank you so much, I needed this to hear,” wrote one fan. Another added, “Beautiful song for a talented man.”<\/p>\n Buxton played electric guitar as an original member of The Alice Cooper Band from 1968\u20131974. Thanks to unearthed clips\u2014and one 15-second riff\u2014Buxton appears on two songs on the band\u2019s first album in 52 years, The Revenge of Alice Cooper,<\/a> which includes four of the five original members.<\/p>\n \u201cHis spirit was in the room with us the whole time,\u201d says Bob Ezrin,<\/strong> the producer behind the group\u2019s key 1970s albums. \u201cWe talked about him more than we talked about anything else, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n Cooper<\/strong> and band members guitarist Michael Bruce<\/strong>, bass player Dennis Dunaway<\/strong>, and drummer Neil Smith not only talked about Buxton during their time making the latest album\u2014they spent time listening to his work.<\/p>\n Dunaway explains, \u201cI had a cassette of Glen and I, and Glen had an idea for this song he called \u2018Astute Lobotomy.\u2019 And that\u2019s all he had: the title and this riff\u2014definitely a fiery Glen Buxton riff.\u201d<\/p>\n Dunaway asked producer Ezrin if Buxton\u2019s riff could be worked into one of the songs.<\/p>\n “Oh sure, send it,” Ezrin responded.
