The Real Housewives of New York<\/span><\/strong> underwent its first pause after a dismal Season 13. Bravo decided to take the blank slate approach and rebooted the show. By the end of RHONY Season 15, it was clear that the new series wasn\u2019t working. Since then, Andy Cohen<\/span><\/strong> has been dealing with what to do with the franchise. And that includes asking a Today show fan-favorite, Sheinelle Jones<\/span><\/strong>, about joining the cast.<\/p>\n Thankfully, RHONY wasn\u2019t canceled. It was just put on pause<\/a> again. And now it sounds like there is finally some progress and momentum in the casting department.<\/p>\n Andy confirmed earlier this month that \u201ca few\u201d newbies have been selected, but that Bravo executives \u201chaven\u2019t rounded it out yet<\/a>.\u201d Meanwhile, RHONY alum Luann de Lesseps<\/span> pushed the rumor mill into overdrive by teasing, \u201cI think something\u2019s cooking<\/a> because there\u2019s been a lot of talk about the OGs.\u201d<\/p>\n So, when Andy was a guest on Today with Jenna and Friends, he played his iconic game, \u201cPlead the Fifth,\u201d with Sheinelle and Jenna Bush Hager. Andy plays the naughty game with guests on his show, Watch What Happens Live<\/span>. Of course, Andy asked Sheinelle if she would consider joining RHONY. \u201cOkay, well, this didn\u2019t get to me. Would you ever?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n \u201cMy phone for the last 72 hours has been exploding,\u201d Sheinelle said. \u201cI can\u2019t, no, stop looking at me,\u201d she added as she covered her face. Finally, Sheinelle responded with a smile, \u201cI plead the Fifth.\u201d<\/p>\n Jenna responded, \u201cYou can\u2019t leave us like that!\u201d However, Andy seemed delighted. \u201cYes, she can! It\u2019s the game. And she left the door open!\u201d<\/p>\n As you may know, the mom of three returned to Today in September after an extended leave.
