Mark Wahlberg has made a conscious effort to find a healthy work-life balance.
The 54-year-old star – who has Ella, 22, Michael, 19, Brendan, 17 and Grace, 15, with his wife Rhea Durham – has revealed that he wants to strike a sensible balance between his acting career and his family life.
Speaking to Us Weekly, he explained: “For me, everything I do now, it\u2019s for my kids. It\u2019s for their future.”
Mark was actually joined by his family in Australia while he was filming Play Dirty, the new heist thriller film.
The movie star said: “I try to find that balance. They came to Australia while I was making this movie to visit.”
Despite this, Mark still remains ambitious about his movie career.
The actor has already achieved lots of success, but he remains keen to “fulfill [his] creative endeavours”.
He explained: “[I\u2019m] trying to find that balance of spending quality time with them, and then also being able to fulfill my creative endeavours.”
Mark is well-known for his disciplined lifestyle and intense workout efforts, and the actor previously explained that he maintains his health “the good old-fashioned way”.
Reflecting on the recent rise of weight-loss jabs, Mark told the celebrity.land newspaper’s Page Six column: “To each his own, but I do encourage people to eat right and exercise.
“It\u2019s much more [of] a lifestyle change. You\u2019d be surprised what you can accomplish when you\u2019re willing to do the work.”
Mark is determined to manage his health and wellbeing in the “most sustainable” way.
He advised: “It will give you the longevity.”
Despite this, Mark refuses to judge people who do use weight-loss supplements, such as Ozempic and Mounjaro.
The film star – who has been married to Rhea since 2009 – said: “Everybody has their own path. I don\u2019t knock anybody for making their own choices.
“But I prefer, and I\u2019ve seen lots of people accomplish amazing things, ordinary people doing extraordinary things on a fitness base, and they\u2019re now encouraging other people that look like them. That\u2019s what I\u2019m into.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
