The collaboration provides passengers with curated content from top YouTube creators and podcasts.<\/p>\n<p>Delta, currently celebrating its centenary, is expanding its entertainment offerings as part of ongoing technology upgrades to its in-flight systems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was a no-brainer,\u201d Julieta McCurry, Delta\u2019s VP of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity Strategy, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/delta-youtube-inflight-entertainment-partnership-1236379343\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> The Hollywood Reporter. \u201cWhen we looked at what customers enjoyed doing while on board via the Internet, the number-one platform they were streaming was YouTube.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Premium Access and Free Trials<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Beginning in October, eligible Delta SkyMiles members will receive two-week free trials of YouTube Premium, the platform\u2019s ad-free subscription service. The partnership also includes curated YouTube Music playlists during boarding, including a soundtrack developed in collaboration with Delta flight attendants.<\/p>\n<p>Miguel Quiroga, YouTube\u2019s VP of Product Partnerships, emphasized the strategic alignment: \u201cFrom a YouTube perspective, we\u2019re really focused on bringing the best of the world to our users through quality content. That intersection felt really compelling.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Broader Technology Enhancements<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The YouTube integration builds on Delta\u2019s broader technology upgrades <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.netinfluencer.com\/delta-airlines-boosts-in-flight-entertainment-partners-with-youtube\/\">announced<\/a> at CES 2025.
