The standout moment from General Hospital<\/em> this week has to be Monica\u2019s memorial.<\/a> Let\u2019s talk about the best moments from the beautiful tribute to an incredible character.<\/p>\n Steve Burton did an amazing job<\/a> as the grieving son with many regrets regarding the mother he loved. Monica (the late Leslie Charleson) loved Jason unconditionally, but it took him a very long time to accept her.<\/p>\n Thankfully, mother and son bonded in the later years and had the relationship Monica always wanted. Jason is mourning the time spent and not spent with his wonderful mom.<\/p>\n There was a point in time when no one could have imagined the grief Tracy (Jane Elliot) is now experiencing over losing her sister-in-law. The two formed a real friendship in later years, and Tracy is having a hard time dealing with the loss.<\/a><\/p>\n From the time she entered and looked at her friend Stella (Vernee Watson) for support, to wheeling Drew (Cameron Mathison) out (who didn\u2019t cheer?), we felt Tracy\u2019s pain. When she finally spoke, after wordless encouragement from Jason, it was honest and beautiful.<\/p>\n During any difficult time, it helps to have a little comic relief. At Monica\u2019s memorial, it was Lucy (Lynn Herring<\/a>), as it always is. Her decision to speak was shocking because she and Monica disliked each other very much. Back in the day, she married Alan (the late Stuart Damon) in that unforgettable red dress. Of course, he ended up going back to his true love.<\/p>\n The expressions on everyone\u2019s faces while Lucy spoke were pure gold. Laura (Genie Francis), Felicia (Kristina Wagner), and, of course, Tracy were all terrified about what would come out of Lucy\u2019s mouth.<\/p>\n Who doesn\u2019t love a good flashback? For long-time viewers of GH, it was nice to reminisce about Monica and other favorites from the years. Her relationships were everything, and we were able to see her effect on so many residents of Port Charles.<\/p>\n Plus, we loved seeing a young Jason, Tracy, and Laura. Felicia, with big 80s hair, was just classic. This soap has a rich and complex history, and it was enjoyable to revisit. What was your favorite moment?
