At only 25 years old, American actress Chase Infiniti has already worked alongside some of Hollywood\u2019s biggest stars. She made her debut in the Apple TV+ series Presumed Innocent alongside Jake Gyllenhaal<\/span><\/a> and Ruth Negga just last year, and now she\u2019s set to make the leap to films. She stars opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and Benicio Del Toro in director Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s latest action thriller One Battle After Another.<\/div>\n

She\u2019s named after iconic movie characters<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Indianapolis native Chase Infiniti Payne was born in 2000 and perhaps she was always destined to be a Hollywood starlet. She\u2019s named after not one, but two iconic film characters: Dr Chase Meridian \u2013 played by Nicole Kidman<\/span><\/a> in Batman Forever \u2013 and Toy Story\u2019s Buzz Lightyear, known for his iconic catchphrase \u201cto infinity and beyond\u201d.<\/div>\n

Perhaps Payne\u2019s parents had an inkling of what their kids would grow up to become. Her younger sister, who works in fashion, is aptly named Dolc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

In a 2024 interview with The Face, Payne revealed that she\u2019d always wanted to be a performer and had spent her childhood dreaming of becoming a singer. At her mum\u2019s encouragement, she auditioned for a musical, calling it \u201cthe best decision I\u2019ve ever made\u201d.<\/p>\n

Payne went on to graduate from a performance course from Columbia College Chicago in 2022 and almost immediately secured a manager. Soon enough, she was auditioning and just seven months after graduating, she landed her first ever screen role in Presumably Innocent as Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Negga\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n

Before securing her acting role, Payne had been a kickboxing instructor and part of a K-pop cover dance crew named Duple Dance Crew.<\/p>\n
