On Monday night\u2019s The Voice, 28-year-old Cori Kennedy<\/strong>, 28, from Kasson-Mantorville, MN, took the stage for her Blind Audition. Her performance of The Judd\u2019s \u201cWhy Not Me\u201d was good enough to get a two-chair turn from coaches Reba McEntire<\/strong> and Michael Bubl\u00e9<\/strong> but that wasn’t what really impressed the coaches. She had an original song up her sleeve.<\/p>\n So, before they made their pitches, trying to get her on their teams, Cori surprised the four coaches \u2013 Snoop Dogg<\/strong> and Niall Horan<\/strong> as well \u2013 by asking them, “I actually wrote a song about me meeting the four of you. And even though he hadn\u2019t turned for her, Snoop gave her some words of wisdom, \u201cNext time you come on\u00a0The Voice, come out with an original song. Oh, it just took me back to Tennessee. Makes me homesick. Your voice is wonderful, such power. Do you perform live a lot?”<\/p>\n Cori answered her, \u201cWhen I can. I still work a 9-to-5. Somebody\u2019s got to sell furniture.\u201d<\/p>\n Next, it was Michael\u2019s turn. He said, “Hi Cori. You started off very low. Then you started singing in the high ranges, and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ It’s like country with a little mix of\u00a0Stevie Nicks<\/strong>. Any time somebody comes on here singing country music, I\u2019m going to lose.
