Reese Witherspoon<\/strong> <\/a>can hardly believe that her youngest son, Tennessee, is a teenager.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow is it possible that my youngest boy is 13?!\u201d Witherspoon, 49, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, September 26. \u201cHe never ceases to amaze me with his joyfulness, his brilliant sense of humor and his endless curiosity. I love you so much, Tenn \ud83d\udc99<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Witherspoon uploaded a photo of herself and Tennessee, whom she shares with ex-husband Jim Toth<\/strong>, posing on a balcony overlooking a body of water. The Morning Show <\/i>actress sported a black, polka-dot sundress as her son wore a blue button-down with a pair of khakis and a bleached-blond buzz cut.<\/p>\n

Witherspoon\u2019s celebrity friends were also in awe that her youngest, who was nearly as tall as his famous mom, is 13.<\/p>\n

The Legally Blonde star first became a mother in September 1999, welcoming daughter Ava with then-husband Ryan Phillippe. \u201cHow are the [sic] teenagers?!?\u201d Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/strong>, who shares two teens with husband Freddie Prinze Jr.<\/strong>, wrote in the Instagram comments section.<\/p>\n

Goldie Hawn<\/strong>, for her part, gushed over Tennessee\u2019s \u201cjoyful face\u201d in her own reply.<\/p>\n

Outlander <\/i>star Sophie Skelton<\/strong> had a message for Witherspoon herself, writing, \u201cHappy 13 years of being a mum too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Witherspoon and Toth, a talent agent, agreed to amicably coparent Tennessee following their divorce. They were married from 2011 to 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have some personal news to share \u2026 It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,\u201d the now-exes wrote in a joint Instagram statement<\/a> in March 2023. \u201cWe have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.\u201d<\/p>\n

They concluded, \u201cOur biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter.<\/a> These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone\u2019s respect for our family\u2019s privacy at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Tennessee, Witherspoon shares daughter Ava, 26, and son Deacon, 21, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was so much I didn\u2019t know,\u201d Witherspoon recalled of being a young parent<\/a> during a recent appearance on The New York Times<\/i>\u2019 \u201cThe Interview\u201d podcast. \u201cAnd maybe that na\u00efvet\u00e9 was good, because it\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, I\u2019ll just do that and have a career.\u2019 And I did have a few people say to me, \u2018This is going to be really hard on your career.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
