After Patrick Cochrane (Seamus O\u2019Hara) returns from his exile in America, he is determined to get revenge on the Guinnesses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">As Arthur (Anthony Boyle) holds a campaign rally, Ellen Cochrane (Niamh McCormack) arrives at early to warn Edward (Louis Patridge) that his brother is in danger. The final scene sees Arthur delivering a campaign speech as Patrick pulls out a gun, and aims. He shoots, the bullet leaves the chamber, and it fades to black. \u201cI have an unfair advantage because I know what happens,\u201d says Anthony Boyle. \u201cSteven told me. So when I start that, I\u2019m going to think, in other words, the destination of the bullet will be very influential on what this series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Louis Patridge, who plays Edward, says he has no clue as to the bullet\u2019s destination. \u201cWhile I wouldn\u2019t want it to happen, this is what Edward would want happen. Edward would want that Ellen gets shot\u2014because then he can mourn it. He can mourn his girlfriend, but it takes care of that problem. And that is that ruthless, business-minded version of Edward. He would think he can grieve it, but it can be swept under the rug and she dies for a noble cause and she\u2019s a martyr, but he doesn\u2019t have to deal with it. It was really harsh, but that\u2019s what I was thinking when I was playing him, that has got potentially a piece missing in him\u2014some social part of him isn\u2019t fully developed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Despite Knight denying he knows who dies, Boyle insists that he knows the ending. \u201cObviously I can\u2019t say anything, but I think it\u2019s a great cliffhanger,\u201d the actor says. \u201cThe whole series is building toward it and I think it leaves you wantin\u2019 more.\u201d Does his character Arthur Guinness die? Boyle won\u2019t answer, and says audiences shouldn\u2019t look up how the real Arthur Guinness dies. \u201cDon\u2019t Google anything because we go so far off and beaten track of what\u2019s reality anyway, that anything could happen is what I\u2019m saying.
