Here Comes Honey Boo Boo<\/a><\/em> star Alana \u201cHoney Boo Boo\u201d Thompson<\/a> was recently involved in a car accident, her mom, \u201cMama\u201d June Shannon<\/a>, revealed on social media.<\/p>\n On Friday, September 26, Shannon, 46, took to Instagram<\/a> with a video explaining that Thompson, 20, was injured in a crash.<\/p>\n \u201cWe get a phone call around 3 O\u2019clock \u2026 Alana\u2019s screaming in the background,\u201d Shannon said in the clip. \u201cShe pulls out of her driveway \u2014 barely, going nothing \u2014 to get her hair done, somebody actually wasn\u2019t paying attention and T-boned her on the road.\u201d<\/p>\n The We TV<\/a> star continued,\u201d Alana is fine. She was hit on the driver\u2019s side of the car. It could have been a lot worse. She was took to the hospital. She does have back pain. She\u2019s having some headache issues. But we are heading to Denver to be able to get her a rental car and to get her set. And this is what sucks about her being 23 hours away.\u201d<\/p>\n In the post\u2019s caption, Shannon, who lives in Georgia, added of Thompson\u2019s condition, \u201cShe is resting. It could\u2019ve been a lot worse than it was. She is banged up a little bit but other than that she is OK, first car wreck.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star\u2019s Instagram followers flooded her and Thompson with prayers and well-wishes after the car crash, with one fan writing, \u201cSo happy Alana is Ok. Sending prayers & blessings to her.<\/p>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n \ufffd\ufffd\ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n \ufffd\ufffd\ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n .\u201d<\/p>\n Another shared, \u201c<\/p>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n So glad she\u2019s okay and safe<\/p>\n \u2764<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n .\u201d<\/p>\n Someone else wrote, \u201cI am glad she is okay!!<\/p>\n \u2764<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n .\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, yet another Instagram user commented, \u201cSending prayers for her.<\/p>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n \ufffd\ufffd<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n .\u201d<\/p>\n As promised, Shannon returned to Instagram<\/a> on Saturday, September 27, with an update on her daughter following the car accident.<\/p>\n \u201cShe is sore this morning,\u201d Mama June said in a video, noting that Thompson was \u201cvery, very, very lucky.\u201d She also promised a more detailed \u201cstory time\u201d update in the near future.<\/p>\n \u201cI promise y\u2019all I will give you more information. Just let me wrap my head around what just happened,\u201d Shannon wrote in the caption. \u201cAll this trip was unexpected everything that happened and just making sure that Alana is good at the end of the day unfortunately, she did not get to go to her first clinical today.\u201d<\/p>\n Currently, Thompson is studying to become a nurse at Regis University in Colorado.<\/p>\n Mama June and Honey Boo Boo appeared in Season 5 of Toddlers & Tiaras<\/em><\/a> on TLC<\/a> in 2012 before snagging their own show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo<\/em>. The show ran for four seasons before TLC canceled it in 2014. We TV\u00a0then picked up Mama June: From Not to Hot<\/em> <\/a>in 2017, rebranding the series several times to Mama June: Road to Redemption<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Mama June: Family Crisis<\/em>.
