Pop singer Lola Young collapsed mid-song at a music festival in New York City on Saturday night and had to be carried off the stage. <\/p>\n
The singer gave fans a fright after the 24-year-old singer cancelled a show the night before \u201cdue to a sensitive matter,\u201d according to Billboard.com.<\/a><\/p>\n In videos posted on social media, the English singer can be seen swaying before dropping her microphone and falling backwards while singing at the All Things Go Festival at the Forest Hills Stadium. <\/p>\n After the performance, Young reassured fans with a post on Instagram: \u201cHi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing ok now … Thank you all for your support, Lola.\u201d <\/p>\n Billboard provided more details about Saturday night\u2019s performance: \u201c[Young] gave a strong vocal performance but appeared flushed and emotional.\u201d <\/p>\n The singer \u201cpowered through\u201d four songs before falling during the fifth. She stopped to talk with her keyboardist before collapsing, the outlet reported. <\/p>\n She was down for about \u201c30-45 seconds\u201d before being carried off stage, Billboard reported. <\/p>\n The crowd was \u201cin shock and quiet\u201d before clapping for her as she was helped offstage. <\/p>\n Earlier in the set, Young spoke about how she \u201chad a tricky couple of days,\u201d People<\/a> reported. <\/p>\n Nick Shymansky, the singer\u2019s manager, announced the cancellation of Friday\u2019s show on Instagram: <\/p>\n \u201cLola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,\u201d he wrote. \u201cShe is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously.
