TikTok star Abby Howard<\/strong> suffered a pregnancy loss after an unexpected complication.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt a routine pregnancy appointment, our doctor could not find a heartbeat,\u201d Abby, 26, and husband Matt Howard<\/strong> wrote in a joint Instagram<\/a> post on Saturday, September 27. \u201cShortly after they sent us in for an ultrasound where the technician said words we will never forget, \u2018I am so sorry I do not have good news.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

They added, \u201cThat is when we got the gender reveal we never hoped for and also the news that our baby had a genetic condition that took her life around 17 weeks gestation. The news felt unimaginable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matt and Abby announced in August that they were expecting their third baby. The couple also share sons Griffin, 3, and August, 2.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt has been a difficult road to parenthood for many celebrity parents, including Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. After in vitro fertilization didn\u2019t work on the first try, Teigen wondered if she had done something wrong. \u201cYou just look for anything to blame, especially yourself,\u201d Teigen explained to New York Magazine\u2019s The Cut in April [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In light of the tragic miscarriage<\/a>, the Howards further said on Saturday that they plan to take a social media hiatus. (Neither Matt nor Abby further elaborated on their unborn child\u2019s diagnosis.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe grief is absolutely devastating, but we feel so much gratitude for the time that we did get to have with her,\u201d their social media statement added. \u201cAnd we still have hope. Hope has continued to show up for us in so many ways. For now we will grieve and continue to think of ways to honor her life offline.\u201d<\/p>\n

They concluded, \u201cThoughts and prayers are more than welcome. Thank you everyone for celebrating this precious life with us for the past 17 weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the 100th episode of the couple\u2019s \u201cUnplanned Podcast,\u201d released on Wednesday, January 8, the couple discussed a viral clip from an infamous May 2024 episode of the podcast in which Matt, 26, claimed [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
