Pop star Ed Sheeran<\/strong><\/a> is looking noticeably more fit these days. The \u201cShape of You\u201d singer recently sat down for a conversation with Andy Cohen<\/a><\/strong> on his SiriusXM radio show Andy Cohen Live and explained the inspiration behind his new \u201cshredded\u201d look. He also gave an update on how he\u2019s maintaining his healthier lifestyle.<\/p>\n While promoting his new album Play, which was released on September 12, Sheeran<\/a> visited Cohen\u2019s show, where the Watch What Happens Live host couldn\u2019t help but comment on Sheeran\u2019s trimmed-down appearance.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re looking shredded right now,\u201d Cohen asked Sheeran. \u201cTo what do we owe this?\u201d<\/p>\n With his signature humble demeanor intact, Sheeran explained that his desire to have six-pack abs for the first time in his life\u2014following weight gain last year\u2014inspired him to hit the gym and cut back on beer.<\/p>\n \u201cThe start of the year and I went, uh, basically I got\u2014I put on a load of weight last year and I was like, I’m gonna hit the gym heavy, um, try and lose a stone. And then as I was doing that I was like, let’s see how far I can take this. I’ve never actually ever had a six-pack in my life and I was like, I’m going to see if I can do it,\u201d Sheeran explained.<\/p>\n Cohen followed up by asking Sheeran how he\u2019s been maintaining his new physique. Sheeran shared a completely relatable answer, saying, \u201cI keep messing up because I keep\u2014I keep\u2014I keep being out somewhere being like, I’ll have a couple of beers. And it just\u2014so, you know. But I’d say it’s going alright. Not only was Sheeran a guest alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Taylor Swift<\/strong>, Martin Short<\/strong>, and Steve Martin<\/strong>, but he\u2019s said to have given a speech during the wedding<\/a>, as did Swift.<\/p>\n Gomez and Blanco wed<\/a> on Saturday, September 28, in a private Southern California ceremony.
