First released in December 1974 by Shirley & Company and written by Sylvia Robinson, the disco smash hit #12 on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a>, topped both the U.S. Soul and Disco charts<\/a>, and climbed to #6 in the U.K<\/a>. Now, nearly 50 years later, the Rolling Stones are putting their stamp on it. But according to Mick Jagger, the Stones have actually been toying with the track for decades.<\/p>\n On Sunday, September 28, the 82-year-old rock icon posted a behind-the-scenes studio clip<\/a> to social media, belting the lyrics alongside singer Chanel Haynes. \u201cWe first tried out \u2018Shame Shame Shame\u2019 around the time of Black and Blue,\u201d Jagger wrote in the caption. \u201cIt was fun to return to it now and add something to it!\u201d<\/p>\n Black and Blue was the Stones\u2019 1976 album, recorded while they auditioned new guitarists after Mick Taylor\u2019s departure.
