Popular pop singer Lola Young is speaking out after collapsing mid-song during her show Saturday night at a music festival in New York City.<\/p>\n
Lola Young has told fans she is \u201cdoing OK now,\u201d according to a BBC<\/a> report on Sunday.<\/p>\n The 24-year-old singer suffered the medical episode mid-performance as she was singing \u201cConceited\u201d at the All Things Go Music Festival<\/a> at Forest Hills Stadium.<\/p>\n Health concerns also forced her to cancel a benefit concert in New Jersey the day before.<\/p>\n Young, carried off stage on Saturday, also canceled her performance scheduled for Friday at the Audacy\u2019s We Can Survive<\/a> benefit concert in Newark, New Jersey<\/a>.<\/p>\n Billboard.com<\/a> reports she canceled the show \u201cdue to a sensitive matter.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier in the Saturday set, Young told fans that she \u201chad a tricky couple of days,\u201d according to People<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes life can really make you feel like you can\u2019t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool … and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s tricky,\u201d Young, 24, told the publication. \u201cI used to watch others go through it and wonder what it felt like.\u201d<\/p>\n Billboard said Young \u201cpowered through\u201d four songs Saturday before \u201cfalling backwards.\u201d<\/p>\n Young stopped to communicate with her keyboardist before falling, according to Billboard.<\/p>\n Her band, team and security rushed to help her, and that she was down for about \u201c30-45 seconds\u201d before being carried off the stage, the media outlet reported.<\/p>\n Young also told People in a previous interview that the public \u201cscrutiny\u201d she experiences can be too much to handle sometimes.<\/p>\n In a prior Sept. 1 cover story, the \u201cMessy\u201d hitmaker told ELLE UK<\/i><\/a> that sometimes she \u201ccan\u2019t go online\u201d because of the comments that target her \u201cinsecurities.\u201d<\/p>\n Read the original article on NJ.com<\/a>.
