While the new villain doesn\u2019t have any Compound B in his blood, he somehow has the ability to take control of minds and operate people like puppets. It\u2019s a freaky revelation that we discover amid the big (horribly named) \u201cGender Bender vs. Blood Bender\u201d fight in the new episode titled \u201cBags\u201d \u2013 and it\u2019s a standout performance moment in the series for actor London Thor, who plays Jordan along with Derek Luh.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">During the aforementioned fight, Thor got the chance to do something most performers don\u2019t get to do outside of body swap movies \u2013 do an imitation of a co-star \u2013 and it was a task that she put a lot of effort into behind the scenes. When I spoke with her, Luh, and Jaz Sinclair during the <em>Gen V<\/em> Season 2 press day earlier this month, I asked about the big fight and Jordan being by puppeteered by Cipher, and she broke down the process for me (while adding that she wasn\u2019t wholly satisfied by her work). Said Thor,<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"mb-4 border-l-2 pl-5 italic text-tertiary\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">We walked into the ring as Jordan, and then&#8230; So Hamish filmed his dialogue the day before or something like that, and then I watched it and just did my best to [imitate.] It&#8217;s hard with Mr. Hamish because every take is very different. He tends to have a fun cadence in how he speaks, so it&#8217;s very hard to copy. So that was fun to work on. I&#8217;m a little disappointed with my performance. I wish I could have gone more Hamish. But it&#8217;s ok.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While London Thor is critical of her turn in the climax of \u201cBags,\u201d however, the same sentiment <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/tv\/articles\/gen-v-star-hilariously-reacts-195542684.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:isn\u2019t shared by Derek Luh;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">isn\u2019t shared by Derek Luh<\/a> \u2013 who during the interview acted as his co-star\u2019s biggest cheerleader. Though she may think that her performance doesn\u2019t have enough of Hamish Linklater in it, he made the point that just because Cipher is in control doesn\u2019t mean that Jordan is totally gone. Said Luh,<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"mb-4 border-l-2 pl-5 italic text-tertiary\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It&#8217;s great. No, it&#8217;s fantastic. It works perfectly because it&#8217;s a bump up from the normal Jordan to see it do that. You&#8217;re clearly possessed, but also you&#8217;re fighting back against it. Because remember you&#8217;re saying, &#8216;I&#8217;m in the passenger seat but I can see what&#8217;s happening.&#8217; You know what I&#8217;m saying? You did great.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The arrival of \u201cBags\u201d means that we have now reached the midpoint of <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/tv\/articles\/netflix-disney-more-6-streaming-155821134.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Gen V Season 2 (a bit strange because of the three-episode premiere);elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\"><em>Gen V<\/em> Season 2 (a bit strange because of the three-episode premiere)<\/a> \u2013 but there is a lot more excitement on the way, and there is also a lot more coming from my interviews with the show\u2019s cast.
