It increased attendance.<\/p>\n University of Findlay Assistant Director for Campus and Community Engagement Alex Parker says last spring\u2019s concert had four people in attendance. But moving the concert from the AMU atrium to the lawn of the CBSL, adding free snow cones and a stuffed animal giveaway helped draw a crowd to see Attaboy, an indie\/ pop band originating from Fort Wayne, Indiana.<\/p>\n \u201cThere was a little bit of hesitancy, as this was the first fully student-led event with this magnitude,\u201d Parker said. \u201cThere were also several new and different elements to the concert.\u201d<\/p>\n The Music Bach concert series is hosted by the Student Activities Board which funded this event.<\/p>\n \u201cThe club receives its budget from a portion (roughly a quarter) of the student activity fee,\u201d Parker said. \u201cAttaboy cost $2,200 to bring to campus. With the giveaways, it cost around $5,000 for the entire event.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The SAB former advisor used to pick out the artists but now the event is lead by students.<\/p>\n Students like graduate physical therapy student Maddie Perkins enjoyed the perks offered with this concert as well.<\/p>\n \u201cThese events are wonderful for getting out of your study zone, enjoying popcorn and snowcones, and singing with your friends,\u201d Perkins said.<\/p>\n Kona Ice offered free snowcones to all those who showed up, Furry Tales Mobile Workshop offered free stuffed animals for the first 75 students, and free popcorn for everyone.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw the email, and it looked like fun, and who doesn\u2019t like a free snowcone,\u201d junior animal science major Olivia Spencer said.<\/p>\n The next Music Bach Concert is scheduled for mid-March, featuring the viral sibling band, SM6.
