Country music legend Dolly Parton took to social media on Sunday to announce that she is postponing her upcoming slate of shows in Las Vegas as she continues to deal with her health. <\/p>\n
\u201cI want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,\u201d Parton wrote in a statement shared to her X page. \u201cAs many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it\u2019s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon! In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you. While I\u2019ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show read, as they say. <\/p>\n
\u201cAnd don\u2019t worry about me quittin\u2019 the business because God hasn\u2019t said anything about stopping yet,\u201d she added. \u201cBut, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n
She also shared that the dates for later this year are currently planned to be moved to September of 2026.<\/p>\n
Parton, 79, recently cancelled an appearance at Dollywood. In a video that she shared explaining why she wasn\u2019t able to make it, she said, \u201cI had a little problem. I had a kidney stone, which caused me a lot of problems.\u201d<\/p>\n
