His departure, much like his life, was filled with grace. RIP\ud83e\udd0d,\u201d Griffin wrote <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DPH0pQCDKGs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Stars including Sam Smith, Emma Bunton and \u201cMurder On The Dancefloor\u201d singer Sophie Ellis Bextor rushed to the comments section to pay their respects.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Paul Roberts, former choreographer to the stars, has died at age 52 following a battle with cancer. <span class=\"credit\">@_paul_roberts\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Roberts had worked with some of the biggest stars in show business, including One Direction and the Spice Girls. <span class=\"credit\">@_paul_roberts\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Roberts worked with Styles during his \u201cTreat People With Kindness\u201d music video, for which he won an MTV VMA for Best choreography in 2021. <span class=\"credit\">@_paul_roberts\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThis is heartbreaking,\u201d wrote Smith, whose \u201cThe Thrill Of It All\u201d world tour was choreographed by Roberts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy thoughts and heart is with all of Paul\u2019s family and friends at this hard time. Paul was a light in this world. I\u2019ll never forget his kindness and his sparkle. His magic will never leave the people he loved.
