Walton Goggins<\/a> is riding high on the wave of fame after his role in the third season of The White Lotus<\/em><\/a> thrust him into the spotlight and isn\u2019t letting Pete Davidson<\/a>\u2018s ominous prediction rain on his parade.<\/p>\n Last week, Davidson appeared on Theo Von\u2019s\u00a0This Past Weekend<\/em> podcast<\/a>, where he talked about the fickle nature of fame and how fans can build you up only to tear you down. He was specifically referring to Pedro Pascal<\/a>, whose star power increased after he took on the lead role as Joel in HBO\u2019s adaptation of The Last of Us<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cF***ing two years ago, he\u2019s a hardworking, great actor\u2026 He\u2019s worked so hard and has been a struggling actor, [then] f***ing blows up so f***ing hard, everyone\u2019s like, \u2018Daddy, daddy! Yeah, daddy, daddy,\u2019\u201d the SNL<\/em><\/a> alum said, per The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>. \u201cAnd then a year later, he\u2019s, like, in everything now \u2019cause he\u2019s hot and big and everyone\u2019s like, \u2018Go the f*** away, dude.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Davidson also said people need \u201ctime to adjust to that new level of fame,\u201d adding, \u201cHe\u2019s been banging at it for 30 years, and now he\u2019s learning how to go get a cup of coffee or deal with someone that taps you on the shoulder while you have your earbuds in and freaks you out. You got to give that guy a f***ing second to, like, adjust.\u201d<\/p>\n After discussing Pascal, Davidson then made a prediction, saying, \u201cThey\u2019re gonna do it with Walton Goggins, [he] will be next. It\u2019s like, we build everybody up, and now it\u2019s so fast to turn. It\u2019s within months.\u201d<\/p>\n Goggins responded in an Instagram post on Sunday (September 28) after seeing a THR<\/em> article about Davidson\u2019s comments. \u201cPete we don\u2019t know each other but I appreciate the heads up,\u201d he wrote. \u201cWe agree on one thing\u2026 Pedro Pascal isn\u2019t a good man, He\u2019s a great man. A dear friend of mine.\u201d<\/p>\n The Fallout<\/em><\/a> star noted that \u201cas a 53 year old\u201d he is \u201cacutely aware that every experience has a shelf life.\u201d He also said he is appreciative of his fans coming \u201con this journey with me.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI imagine a lot of you (and I don\u2019t blame you) are tired of hearing my homilies. Trust me I\u2019m tired of saying them,\u201d he added. \u201cI have a few things coming out that I have an obligation to talk about\u2026 not for me mind you, but to honor all of those that worked so hard to bring these stories to fruition.\u201d<\/p>\n Goggins has been acting on-screen since the early 1990s, with one of his first significant roles coming in the FX drama series The Shield<\/em><\/a>. He went on to play the memorable villain Boyd Crowder in Justified<\/em><\/a> from 2010 to 2015. His other credits include Vice Principals<\/em><\/a>, The Righteous Gemstones<\/em><\/a>, George & Tammy<\/em><\/a>, and the animated series Invincible<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n The Emmy-nominated actor urged his fans \u201cnot to click\u201d on stories about him, \u201cunless you want to\u2026 and if you do\u2026 I appreciate the support.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSee to me, being included in this headline isn\u2019t a curse it\u2019s a blessing. How lucky am I that this is even a possibility?!!\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019ve had the good fortune of engaging in so many interesting conversations with so many of you\u2026.of collaborating with so many top-shelf people across so many disciplines over the last couple of years. Way more than a poor kid from GA would ever have the audacity to imagine. I wouldn\u2019t take one back. So\u2026If saying yes in life more than saying no is a crime, then I\u2019m guilty as charged.\u201d<\/p>\n As for Davidson\u2019s prediction, Goggins is ready to embrace it. \u201cIf this headline is a possibility or an inevitability\u2026 if this is my fate\u2026 Well\u2026 F*** it. I\u2019m going to enjoy the F*** OUT OF IT,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
