\n\tAmanda Shires<\/a> says the Highwomen<\/a> will ride again. According to the Americana singer-songwriter, the all-star group will reconvene in the coming months to being working on new songs.<\/p>\n \n\tShires was a founding member of the band along with Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, and Natalie Hemby. Members of the group also performed as the Highwomen with guests like Brittney Spencer, Yola, and Sheryl Crow.<\/p>\n \n\tDuring an appearance<\/a> on Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2019s Nashville Now<\/em> podcast, Shires talked about the collective\u2019s plans, saying that Morris first teased a reunion during a performance at the Gorge in Washington state.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cMe and Brandi and Maren and Brittney have talked about writing this winter,\u201d Shires says. \u201cAll signs point to \u2018yes,\u2019 if I was the Magic 8-Ball.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe core members of the Highwomen have recently released or will soon drop new solo albums: Carlile will issue Returning to Myself<\/em> on Oct. 24, Morris released Dreamsicle<\/em> in May, and Shires just unveiled Nobody\u2019s Girl<\/a><\/em> last week. It\u2019s a vulnerable, often candid look at the dissolution of her marriage to songwriter Jason Isbell and how she picked up the pieces to move on.<\/p>\n
