Pop singer Lola Young canceled a performance over the weekend after collapsing on stage<\/a> in New York City.<\/p>\n The \u201cMessy\u201d singer said on Sunday that she was canceling her appearance at the All Things Go music festival in Washington, D.C., which was scheduled for later that day.<\/p>\n The announcement came one day after she fell backwards mid-song during the New York City portion of the All Things Go Music Festival and had to be carried off stage by a medical team.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sorry to confirm that I won\u2019t be playing all things go in DC today,\u201d Young wrote on Instagram.<\/a> \u201cI love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I\u2019m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI hope you\u2019ll all give me another chance in the future,\u201d she continued. \u201cThank you to all those who listen and care. To all the people that love to be mean online, pls give me a day off.\u201d<\/p>\n Young had previously turned to social media to address her collapse, which happened while performing the song \u201cConceited,\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now,\u201d she wrote on her Instagram Stories. \u201cThank you for all of your support, Lola xxx.\u201d<\/p>\n The incident happened a day after Young\u2019s performance on Friday was canceled by her team \u201cdue to a sensitive matter.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,\u201d manager Nick Shymansky wrote about the cancelation, per Billboard<\/a>. \u201cShe is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously.
