Dolly Parton<\/a> has postponed her upcoming Las Vegas shows because of \u201chealth challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n The country music<\/a> legend made the announcement in an Instagram post<\/a> on Sunday, Sept. 28.<\/p>\n \u201cI want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,\u201d Parton wrote. \u201cAs many of you know, I\u2019ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000 check-up, although it\u2019s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cIn all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you. While I\u2019ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say. And don\u2019t worry about me quittin\u2019 the business because God hasn\u2019t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n Parton\u2019s post listed all six impacted shows, which were between Dec. 4-13. Tickets will be valid for new shows days, which will run Sept. 17-26 of next year. Refunds are also available at point of purchase.<\/p>\n This comes after Parton has to miss the opening of a new experience at her theme park, Dollywood<\/a>, last week<\/a> because of kidney stones.<\/p>\n The \u201cJolene\u201d hitmaker, 79, apologized to fans in a pre-recorded video that played at an event on Wednesday.<\/p>\n \u201cHello Dollywood. It\u2019s me. I know. I\u2019m here, you\u2019re there and you\u2019re wondering why that is,\u201d Parton said in the video that was posted to X<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, I had a little problem. I had a kidney stone, which was causing me a lot of problems. Turns out there was an infection and the doctor said, \u2018You don\u2019t need to be traveling right this minute. So, you need a few days to get better,\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cSo he suggested I don\u2019t go to Dollywood today. I want to make this clear, I was looking so forward to it.\u201d<\/p>\n Parton ended the clip by reassuring fans not to worry.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll be back as quick as I can,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m going to be okay.
