She\u2019s game to go back to the beach.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Carmen Electra, 53, said she would be willing to reprise her role of Lani McKenzie on the\u00a0recently announced \u201cBaywatch\u201d reboot<\/a> \u2013 but she has one condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt could be fun\u201d to join the cast of the reboot, the actress and model told TMZ<\/a> in a recent interview.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if I\u2019d want to be in the water. It\u2019s the ocean, you know? I love being around the ocean. Working in it is very different. When you\u2019re working in the ocean, it is very complicated,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n Electra said she has no hesitation about the other aspects of the show.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI could do the slow-motion run. I can definitely do that. And I still look really good in that [bathing] suit, so that is not a problem. But the water \u2014 maybe I could be a captain!\u201d she joked.<\/p>\n Electra hasn\u2019t been officially announced as part of the new cast.\u00a0<\/p>\n The \u201cBaywatch\u201d reboot was announced on Sept 23.\u00a0Fox gave the show a straight-to-series order for the 2026\/27 TV season, but it hasn\u2019t been revealed if cast members such as Electra, Pamela Anderson<\/a>, 58, or David Hasselhoff, 73, will return.\u00a0\u00a0No new cast members have been announced, either.<\/p>\n The original \u201cBaywatch\u201d premiered in 1989 and aired its first season on NBC before moving into syndication for the remainder of its run, which ended after 11 seasons in 2001.\u00a0<\/p>\n It was the most-watched show in the world at its peak, airing in over 200 countries, for over 200 episodes.\u00a0It made stars such as Anderson and Hasselhoff into global icons.<\/p>\n In 2017, there was a movie reboot of \u201cBaywatch,\u201d starring Dwayne \u201cThe Rock\u201d Johnson, Zac Efron, and Alexandra Daddario. The movie flopped,<\/a> and the Post review proclaimed,<\/a> \u201cIt washes up on the beach like a dead whale.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n In May, \u201cBaywatch\u201d star Nicole Eggert, 53, shed some light on the show\u2019s infamous slo-mo running scenes<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWe were the guinea pigs, the first two seasons of this new look of \u2018Baywatch.\u2019 Nobody mentioned the slow-mo,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n She explained that she initially filmed running \u201cfull speed\u201d on the beach, and an editor tinkered with the footage to slow it down.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAnd let me tell you something, full speed running in slow motion is not cute,\u201d she joked. \u201cNot cute at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
