\n\tOn day one of All Things Go<\/a> NYC (Sept. 26), buzzy English pop-rocker Rachel Chinouriri<\/a> delivered one of those special sets that convinced everyone in Queens\u2019 Forest Hills Stadium that she\u2019s the next big thing.<\/p>\n \n\tPlaying a smattering of songs across a half-hour set \u2013 several of which were from her 2024 breakthrough debut album, What a Devastating Turn of Events<\/em> \u2014 Chinouriri commanded the stage with a calm self-assuredness that she occasionally dropped for vivacious bursts of energy. From leading dance-a-longs to \u201c23:42\u201d to getting the entire venue to raise its hands during the \u201cAll I Ever Asked\u201d chorus, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter was one of the early winners of this year\u2019s NYC staging of All Things Go. Near the end of her set, Chinouriri played one of her newest songs, a sweet, indie-pop ode to her boyfriend titled \u201cCan We Talk About Isaac?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIsaac is in New York for the first time ever, and I\u2019ve always had a vision of him running out with a tambourine,\u201d Chinouriri tells Billboard<\/em> backstage after her set. \u201cWe didn\u2019t have a tambourine, so I was like \u2018Come out, anyway,\u2019 and Amira, my tour manager, said she\u2019d push him\u2026. so he was forced onstage. [Laughs<\/em>]. I think he deserves his moment, he\u2019s inspired some songs!\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cCan We Talk About Isaac?\u201d appears on Chinouriri\u2019s Little House<\/em> EP, which she released this spring (April 5). The EP arrived the day after Chinouriri concluded her stint as an opener for the first European leg of Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>\u2018s Short n\u2019 Sweet Tour. With Carpenter set to bring that tour back on the road this fall \u2014 in support of her latest Billboard 200 chart-topper, Man\u2019s Best Friend<\/em> \u2014 Chinouriri already has an idea of which new song she\u2019d like to remix. \u201c\u2018Sugar Talking,’\u201d she says without hesitation. \u201cIt\u2019s undefeated, it needs to be No. 1.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAlongside Carpenter, Chinouriri also named Pinkpantheress<\/a> and Hayley Williams<\/a> as artists she\u2019d like to collaborate with this year. Of course, Chinouriri is no stranger to receiving love from pop superstars; Adele<\/a> popped out to her L.A. show in June and sent her flowers to celebrate her first two Brit Awards nominations. \u201cIt\u2019s mental because she feels like this magical entity,\u201d Chinouriri jokes. \u201cI\u2019ve not met her, so I just want to sit with her and be like, \u2018Who on Earth showed you my songs? How did this happen?\u2019 But I love that she\u2019s a South London girly and feel very grateful to have her support.\u201d<\/p>\n
