It’s been just over a year since the Grammy-nominated pop artist Halsey revealed her ongoing health issues.<\/p>\n
But in a recent post shared on TikTok<\/a>, the 31-year-old singer-songwriter provided a hopeful update regarding her continued medical treatment and plans to return to the stage.<\/p>\n In the TikTok post, Halsey specifically mentioned that she’d recently completed a few more treatments of chemotherapy. Additionally, the singer also said she had a new chemo port added to her person, referencing a small medical device that attaches to a patient’s vein without having to use a traditional needle.<\/p>\n “Just coming on here to give you guys another speed round of updates. Just did another few sessions of chemo,” the three-time Billboard Music Award said.<\/p>\n Halsey’s chemo comes over 12 months since the singer revealed her 2022 diagnosis of Lupus SLE and T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.<\/p>\n Lupus SLE is an autoimmune disease that can trigger inflammation in various areas of the body, including the joints, kidneys, blood cells, heart and brain.<\/p>\n A lymphoproliferative, on the other hand, comes about from the unchecked production of white blood cells in the body, potentially spiraling into serious illnesses like lymphoma and leukemia.<\/p>\n In spite of her health issues, Halsey went on to mention how excited she was for the upcoming Back to Badlands tour. The tour, which will begin next month, celebrates the musician’s 10-year anniversary of her debut album, Badlands.<\/p>\n “We just put the Back to Badlands show together, and it’s going to be unbelievable, so amazing,” she said.<\/p>\n Halsey also joked about the tour kicking off on Oct. 14 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.
