The Kelly Clarkson Show <\/em>has kicked off its seventh season. Kelly Clarkson returned to daytime TV on Monday, Sept. 29, with her first episode back since the death<\/a> of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. During the off-season, the singer passed the time with her Las Vegas residency, but cancelled the remaining shows<\/a> to be present for her two children with Blackstock.<\/p>\n Clarkson opened The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em>\u2018s season premiere with a Kellyoke cover of The Weeknd\u2019s \u201cBlinding Lights,\u201d noting, \u201cIt\u2019s a perfect song to kick us off. She hasn\u2019t extensively commented on Blackstock\u2019s death publicly. Her last statement arrived when she first cancelled her Las Vegas concerts. \u201cWhile I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children\u2019s father has been ill and at this moment,\u201d she wrote on Instagram at the time. \u201cI need to be fully present for them.\u201d<\/p>\n Blackstock died of skin cancer in August at the age of 48. The talent manager\u2019s family shared a statement announcing his death, but shared few details about his illness<\/a>. \u201cIt is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away.
