Delivering a movie people were prone to thinking wouldn&#8217;t happen, it was actually a pretty impressive result that won over even some of the most jaded fans. In the wake of that picture\u2019s arrival, the long running Fox sitcom made another one of its infamous predictions &#8211; and it looks like it\u2019s (technically) come true.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Through various social media platforms, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.20thcenturystudios.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:20th Century Studios;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">20th Century Studios<\/a> broke the news that <em>The Simpsons<\/em> will be heading back to theaters again! Scheduled for release on July 23, 2027, the studio shared that announcement through this clever teaser graphic:<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Naturally, no plot details have been shared when it comes to <em>The Simpsons Movie 2<\/em>, or whatever this cinematic venture ends up being named. Personally, I think \u201cThe Wrath of (Sideshow) Bob\u201d certainly has a nice ring to it; but the funny thing with Matt Groening\u2019s creation is there\u2019s <em>no<\/em> telling where their story is headed next.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Unless you\u2019re a person who loves to pick out those instances where the 36 season animation landmark oddly predicted the future. In which case, you probably called out everything but the <em>exact<\/em> day this new project would debut. Now since the benchmark was to \u201cnot wait 20 years to make another movie,\u201d and with the presumption that a script is actually done and dusted, the residents of Springfield seem to have made history yet again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">That is, if there aren\u2019t any production start delays or hiccups.
