Online<\/a><\/p>\n Keanu Reeves<\/strong><\/a> and <\/span>Alexandra Grant<\/strong><\/a> aren\u2019t in a simulated reality\u2014it\u2019s real love.<\/span><\/p>\n One week after <\/span>shutting down rumors<\/span><\/a> that they had privately gotten married, the <\/span>Matrix <\/span>actor and artist shared a special red carpet moment in New York City.<\/span><\/p>\n While attending the opening night of <\/span>Jamie Lloyd<\/strong>\u2019s Broadway production of <\/span>Waiting for Godot<\/span> Sept. 28, Keanu and Alexandra held hands as they smiled and posed together outside of the Hudson Theatre.<\/span><\/p>\n Beyond their physical connection on the carpet, the pair proved they were also in sync in the wardrobe department, with Alexandra donning a short-sleeved black dress and Keanu wearing a black suit jacket with gray pinstriped slacks and matching tie.<\/span><\/p>\n The couple\u2019s Broadway outing marks their first since dispelling claims last week that they had secretly wed. While Keanu\u2019s publicist confirmed to E! News Sept. 22 that the rumors were \u201cnot true,\u201d Alexandra made sure to <\/span>have fun when responding<\/span><\/a> to the \u201cfake news.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n More from E! The John Wick star and the artist went on to collaborate on two books together, 2011’s Ode to Happiness and the 2016 series Shadows. The pair also co-founded the publisher X Artists’ Books in 2017.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The duo attend the UNAIDS Gala during Art Basel 2016, but no one seemed to catch on at the time.<\/p>\n “It’s really astonishing to me how in the last five months, all of a sudden, she goes to an event with him and everybody goes insane, like, ‘It’s his new girlfriend,’ because she had gone to a lot of events with him,” Alexandra’s friend Jennifer Tilly<\/strong> told Page Six<\/a> in February 2020. “It’s just suddenly surfaced that he’s been dating her for several years.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The couple attended a Saint Laurent fashion show in Malibu together and held hands in front of photographers, though their low-key outing still didn’t make headlines…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Keanu and Alexandra’s romantic relationship did not fully capture the interest of the public until they walked the red carpet hand-in-hand at the 2019 LACMA Art + Film Gala.
