Gayheart spoke about the impact the diagnosis has had on their children, who are \u201ctaking it day by day,\u201d in a candid interview with People magazine<\/a>, published on Saturday. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe have some professional therapists who are helping us, and we\u2019re just trying to have some hope and do it with dignity, grace and love,\u201d she told the outlet. Dane and Gayheart share daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI mean, it\u2019s heartbreaking. My girls are really suffering, and we\u2019re just trying to get through it. It\u2019s a tough time,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
