Any parent with little kids in the house has likely watched the Baby Shark<\/em> music video on repeat… over and over and over again.<\/p>\n Despite hitting YouTube almost 10 years ago, “Baby Shark,” the viral and now-global children’s song, remains the most viewed video on the platform, amassing over 15 billion views<\/a> since April. 2025, with the current Youtube link alone showing<\/a> more than 16 billion views.<\/p>\n In addition to the catchy melody and repetitiveness of the lyrics, there’s also the hand and arm movements to imitate the jaw movements of baby, mommy, daddy, grandma and grandpa shark, making it an instant hit amongst children to this date.<\/p>\n And as the song gears up to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Baby Shark Instagram account revealed that the little boy who starred in the video, Park Geon-roung<\/a><\/strong>, alongside “sister shark” Elaine Kim Johnston<\/strong>, is not so little anymore.<\/p>\n In a clip uploaded earlier this week<\/a> and set to “I’m Just a Kid” by Simple Plan, an all-grown-up Park walks out, dusting off his shoulders before striking the same pose he did in the video when he was little\u2014and which has been immortalized on the internet.<\/p>\n “\ud83e\udd88Baby boy Gunryeong’s pose 10 years ago\ud83d\ude46\ud83c\udffb ” the video was captioned, tagging the now-teenager and content creator, who boasts 144 thousand Instagram followers. His profile page still lists “Baby Shark Boy” as one of his highlighted accomplishments.<\/p>\n According to one post<\/a>, Park, now 18, was eight when the video was filmed.<\/p>\n Fans immediately took to the comment section to emphasize the same sentiment using memes and gifs: “I’m old.”<\/p>\n “I can’t believe how much he’s grown \ud83d\ude2e \ud83d\ude2e,” one nostalgic viewer wrote.<\/p>\n Another questioned, “Am i so old? Wasn’t that just 2 years ago?\ud83d\ude2d” as someone clarified, “Lol it was 9-10 years ago \ud83d\ude02.”<\/p>\n “No really!??? Wow! Time does pass by so fast!” another added, with one suggesting, “i remember this video went viral during my 3rd pregnancy.
