Justin Baldoni<\/strong><\/a> is feeling \u201cgrateful\u201d amid his legal battle with Blake Lively<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Monday, September 29, the actor, 41, spoke with TMZ<\/span><\/a> outside of Los Angeles International Airport, where a reporter for the outlet peppered him with questions about his state of mind.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m actually doing wonderful,\u201d Baldoni said, adding that he was \u201cvery grateful,\u201d \u201cvery positive\u201d and feeling \u201ca lot of love.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

When the reporter remarked that he seems \u201cto be taking the high road\u201d in his fight against Lively, 38, Baldoni replied \u201cthat\u2019s what we always try to do.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJustin Baldoni has added another high-profile attorney to his legal team amid his battle against Blake Lively. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, a notice of appearance was filed on Monday, September 15. The paperwork notified the court that lawyer Alexandra Shapiro would be joining as counsel for Baldoni, 41, and Wayfarer Studios. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Baldoni\u2019s comments came two weeks after he added Alexandra Shapiro<\/strong> to his legal team<\/span><\/a>. The criminal defense attorney\u2019s past clients include Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong> and FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/i>, Shapiro filed paperwork on September 15 notifying the court that she would be joining as counsel for Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios.<\/span><\/p>\n

Baldoni and Lively\u2019s legal drama began in December 2024. The actress accused her It Ends With Us<\/i> costar and director of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and coordinating with a crisis PR team to launch a smear campaign against her. Baldoni has denied the claims.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The actor countersued Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds<\/strong>, accusing the couple of extortion and defamation, but that lawsuit was dismissed in June. Lively\u2019s lawsuit remains ongoing, and she and Baldoni are headed to trial in May 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tA judge has denied Justin Baldoni\u2019s request for an extension to depose Taylor Swift in his federal lawsuit against Blake Lively. Per documents obtained by Us Weekly on Friday, September 12, United States District Judge Lewis Liman ruled that Baldoni, 41, and his legal team had not \u201cdemonstrated good cause for their requested extension. The [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe court decision on the motion to dismiss has no effect whatsoever on the truth that there was no harassment nor any smear campaign, and it does not in any way affect our vigorous defense against Ms. Lively\u2019s claims,\u201d a Baldoni lawyer said in a statement over the summer. \u201cDiscovery is proceeding and we are confident that we will prevail against these factually baseless accusations. Instead of revising the existing claims, our clients will be pursuing additional legal options that are available to us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Lively was deposed by Baldoni\u2019s attorneys<\/span><\/a> in New York City in July. Us<\/i> previously reported that Baldoni was present for the deposition.<\/span><\/p>\n
