If prosecutors get their way, Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong> could be behind bars for years to come.<\/p>\n On Tuesday, September 30, prosecutors sent a memo to the judge asking for the disgraced rapper, 55, to be sentenced to 11 years in prison, according to ABC News<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n As the National Enquirer<\/em> previously reported<\/a>, the media mogul was convicted of two counts of transportation for prostitution in July, which carry a maximum sentence of 10 years per count. However, he was acquitted of the racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.<\/p>\n \u201cThe defendant will not be punished for any crimes of which he was acquitted, of course, but punishment for his crimes of conviction must take into account the manner in which he committed them,\u201d prosecutors wrote in the memo, per the outlet.<\/p>\n The prosecution cited the music mogul\u2019s \u201cdecades of unchecked violence\u201d and \u201cdecades of psychological, emotional and physical damage he has inflicted,\u201d as reasons to lock him up for over a decade.<\/p>\n As for what the record producer\u2019s defense thinks, they said the recommendation was \u201cdraconian,\u201d and equated it to \u201cverdict be damned \u2014 lock him up and throw away the key.\u201d<\/p>\n The defense argues that Diddy\u2019s time already served at the Metropolitan Detention Center<\/a> in Brooklyn should be sufficient, as reported by the Enquirer<\/em> last week.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHe has served over a year in one of the most notorious jails in America \u2013 yet has made the most of that punishment,\u201d the defense wrote in a sentencing memo per Page Six.<\/em><\/a> \u201cIt is time for Mr. Combs to go home to his family, so he can continue his treatment and try to make the most of the next chapter of his extraordinary life.\u201d<\/p>\n Diddy will learn his fate in a New York courtroom on Friday, October 3.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/staging.nationalenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/MEGA1333928_003-scaled.jpg\")
